  • Manage assigned incentive travel files and work closely with Operations Department on group meetings and travel
  • Participate in contract negotiations regarding lodging and food and beverage
  • Liaise with client and suppliers
  • Perform general meeting planning functions – prepare program timelines, itineraries, rooming lists, arrival/departure manifests and individual requests (dietary, medical, etc.)
  • Prepare program materials and signage to include custom printing and personalization
  • Oversee $1.2M program budgets to ensure that components are within or under budget guidelines
  • Accumulate, verify and reconcile all third party supplier invoices. Work closely with the Accounting department on comprehensive reconciliation and final budget

Project Leader (Sr. Consultant), D.R. Valentine & Associates, Pasadena, CA (2006 – present)

  • Serve as on-site Project Leader to ensure adherence to timelines, design and production plans. Problem-solve as necessary to minimize delays in production or anything that may inhibit the success
  • Serve as Production Manager/Event Planner on brand marketing initiatives for the Urban Marketing Corporation of America including HBO, NIKE (product launch party, documentary tour, All-Star Webcast ) and other NBA All-Star public and private activations for populations ranging from 200 –
  • Serve as Production and Hospitality Manager on high profile/celebrity weddings. Manage relationships with client vendors (i.e. photographers, florists, audio/visual technicians) and venue personnel (i.e., Catering Sales Managers, Banquet Captains, Front Office Managers, etc.)
  • Attend client/vendor meetings to implement logistical strategies for event flow and work closely with venue management and security to ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly
  • Create and update reports – event prospectus, budgets, production load-in and strike timelines
  • Recruit, manage and train staff as well as execute the client’s expectations. Maintain constant communication with vendors, production team and clients to ensure that everyone is abreast of updates

  • Served as creative director to re-brand a 25-year old clothing retail chain servicing greater Los Angeles
  • Worked closely with the Art Department to design and develop collateral materials (i.e., business
  • cards, brochures, press kits, website etc.)
  • Drafted proposals for in-store marketing campaigns, managed departmental budget and vendor relationships. Worked closely with owners, store managers and retail staff to implement and execute events (i.e., product launches, fashion shows, contests, promotions, etc.)

Publicist, CBS Paramount Network Television, Los Angeles, CA (11/2004 – 09/2007)

  • Created, planned, developed and managed publicity efforts for three television series simultaneously Collaborated with television network and personal publicists to ensure maximum exposure of talent and consistency with strategic goals for the series
  • Performed general publicity duties – drafted press releases and media alerts to pitch television shows, products and talent to a variety of media
  • Planned and executed PR campaigns to increase awareness of television series and talent for public and professional audiences via contests, in-store promotions, special events, trade shows, etc.
  • Worked alongside publicity team for department initiatives including 100 episode and wrap events, award shows and high profile screenings for television series
  • Maintained quality relationships with talent, representatives, studio executives, programming staff and crew members
