Brother  Theodore G. Lumpkin,  a Documented Tuskegee Airman of the 332nd Fighter Group, Lumpkin severed overseas in Italy during WWII as a member of the 100th Fighter Squadron in the 332nd Fighter Group. He was drafter July 1, 1942 at Ft. McAthur, California and immediately assigned to the 689th Signal Squadron, Tuskegee Air Force Base (AFB),  Alabama for basic training and radar training. He was selected for officer training at Miami Beach Air Force Candidate School, Florida in October 1942. He graduated January 20,1943 as a 2nd Lieutenant. US Army Air Corps, and assigned to the 100th Fighter Squadron, 332nd Fighter Group, Tuskegee, Alabama. He was assigned to the Air Combat Intelligence School, August-November of 1943, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, graduating as an Air Combat Intelligence Officer and reassigned to the 100th at Selfridge Field AFB, Michigan. He served as an Air Intelligence Officer for the 100th Fighter Squadron in the 12th Air Force and later the 15th Air Force. Lumpkin served 22 months combat in the Italian Theater with the 332nd Fighter Group consisting of the the 99th, 100th, 301st and 302nd Fighter Squadrons. He returned stateside in November of 1945 and honorably separated in January of 1946 as a captain.

Lumpkin joined the USAF active reserves in 1946 and retired from the Active Air force Reserves in 1979 with the rank of Lt. Colonel. Lumpkin is a USC graduate, where he joined the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, Alpha Delta Chapter on March 27, 1946.

Lumpkin currently is a real estate broker in Los Angeles and is an active member of the Consolidated Board of Realtists and the Southwest Association of Realtors. Prior to being a Real Estate Broker, Lumpkin was an administrator for the County of Los Angeles for 32 years Lumpkin is married to Georgia and they are the proud parents of 4 children, 9 grand children and 1 great grand child.
